"For by GRACE you have been saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not as result of WORKS, so that no one may boast.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for GOOD WORKS, which God PREPARED BEFOREHAND so that we would WALK IN THEM." (Ephesians 2:8-10)

This verse is a very important verse.
It tells us Loud and clear that SALVATION is BY GRACE, His Grace.

The word GRACE derives from the Greek =KARIS, which means GIFT, FREE GIFT.
Our word GRATIS=FREE comes from it.
Surely, HIS GRACE is an AMAZING GRACE, just like the famous song goes.

Look, if you are bankrupt you are in a difficult place in life. We all know that in the harsh
reality of life in our society.
If we are SPIRITUALLY BANKRUPT is the same.
And that is the condition of MAN relating to GOD.

We are in His sight LOST SINNERS, totally LOST, and we CANNOT fix the SIN problem
on our own.
All our good "intentions" and New Year resolutions to do better etc...Will eventually bring
failures and disappointments when we realize that we have NO LASTING POWER to do
right.
In fact, we have NO SPIRITUAL POWER to do right, we might have some WILL POWER
and using it, for a while, we might succeed to overcome some bad traits of our nature, but
sooner or later we come short, we FAIL.

That is what SIN is, comes from a word in Greek which means "MISS THE MARK".
So, you can try hard and harder, but eventually you will miss the mark and you will realize
that it is IMPOSSIBLE not to sin.

It is so much our human nature...we are hopeless in ourselves.
Of course, motivational gurus, will oppose this reality and try to sell you the 7 steps to success
or the 14 steps or the 21 ways to become a "good" person etc....

But, you really shouldn't listen to them, because YOUR CREATOR, to help you, tells you
THE TRUTH, and demolishing any false self-reliance and confidence, tells you that in your
human condition you are a loser, you are LOST in sins and trespasses and there is ONLY
ONE WAY OUT from failure and despair, and if you will follow HIS WORD you will
experience yourself that God is Good and truly loves YOU.
That is why GOD tells you that you need HIS GRACE, you need to give up human ways and
accept God's WAY.
So GOD offers you the GIFT of HIS GRACE, and that GIFT is not a system or a religion,
it is not another gimmick, BUT A PERSON,HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON,JESUS.

SALVATION is a GIFT, the gift is a PERSON, that person is JESUS the MESSIAH!!!

So, once you give up on trying to save yourself and RELY on JESUS alone, you will
experience a powerful work of GOD in your life.
The "GOOD WORKS" will follow, they have been prepared by God "beforehand",
for us "to walk in them"

Religion,Religion, oppressive religion is what we get all the time.
Man telling you what to do, when to do it, how to do it and so on....

Praying, studying the Bible, witnessing, living an holy consecrated life is a RESULT
of JESUS LIVING in YOU.

And of course because is a NEW LIFE in THE SPIRIT, you will start with baby steps
just like at the beginning of NATURAL LIFE.

Toddlers sometimes fall when trying to walk, so if you fall trying to walk with God,
DON'T DESPAIR, get up and start again, and if gets tough CRY, just like kids do,
CRY to THE FATHER,WHO gladly will pick you up, comfort you and put on the
right path again.

The Bible tells us that the righteous fall 7 times a day, BUT THE LORD lifts him/her
up again.
In Christ we have a SUPERNATURAL DIVINE SUPPLY of HELP and POWER.
Our Lord LOVES US ETERNALLY.
In Christ YOU ARE APPROVED, because of HIM.

Let's learn to enter HIS REST.
But this will see another day.

Today's Reading:

Ephesians 2 (King James Version)

Ephesians 2
1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

11Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

14For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

15Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

16And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

17And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

18For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

22In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.( Hebrews 9: 27-28 )
We all die.
You just cannot escape it!
You might remove the thought from your mind; you might pretend that everybody else dies, but
Not you....but death is all around....animals die, plants die, even stars and planets die...
You better stop and think SERIOUSLY about a CERTAIN EVENT, YOUR DEATH!!!!
It is APPOINTED.... 27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
So are YOU PREPARED???
ARE YOU PREPARED? You are going to leave EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY behind...YOU WILL DIE
ALONE even if around your deathbed (if you will die in your deathbed and not somewhere else)
There will be friends and family, YOU WILL DIE ALONE.....
Don't PLAY with YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY.....it is ETERNITY after this brief life.....

ACCEPT JESUS NOW....REPENT and CALL ON HIM NOW...GET SAVED FOR ETERNITY!!!!
28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
HE IS WAITING FOR YOU.....HURRY UP....RUN TO JESUS while you are still alive, DO IT NOW!

 Hebrews 9 (King James Version)

Hebrews 9
1Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

6Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

19For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

20Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

21Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

25Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation

 THE GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST

Mat 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Jesus was teaching and preaching...what? Some fancy theory? Some strange doctrine of psychological betterment? Was He preaching a new
"prosperity gospel?" was He exalting man?....
I read He was teaching and preaching THE GOSPEL of THE KINGDOM!

And while He preached and taught HE HEALED ALL MANNER of
SICKNESS and DISEASE among the people!
Some people want always twist the word of God..in fact the majority of
the people nowdays as then DON'T BELIEVE that this SAME JESUS can
and will do THE SAME TODAY....because JESUS DOESN'T CHANGE.

The point is: DO WE BELIEVE IT? and if we believe HIM and HIS WORD, have we got to start some weird faith healing movement as happens today and transform in a money making machine as many do??
Shouldn't we REPENT of our EVIL WAYS and just PREACH "HIS"
GOSPEL?

lets see some more verses:

Mat 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Mat 11:5 the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Is this happening today? are the blind receiving their sight? are the lepers
cleansed, are the deaf hearing? are THE DEAD RAISED UP? and the poor
have the gospel preached to them?

Shouldn't we REPENT of OUR EVIL WAYS???
What REPENTING means? it means CHANGING OUR MINDS,OUR
THOUGHTS and ASK THE LORD to FORGIVE and grant us HIS GRACE so instead of preaching a WATERED DOWN PSYCHOLOGICAL GOSPEL
we can start to preach and teach HIS GOSPEL and let HIM manifest HIS
GLORY!

The day IS coming that JESUS will come back For His People and take us
home with Him, that is called THE RAPTURE and it is going to happen if
we believe it or not....but before that time, while we still have some time left
down here, we should ask THE LORD to help us to go back TO HIS WORD
and TRUTH and help us to PREACH HIS GOSPEL....
We need to PREACH THE REAL JESUS,THE REAL GOSPEL,THE REAL
HOLY GHOST....I am afraid that we have become "lukewarm"...not hot,not
cold,....just lukewarm.
LORD,please, have mercy on us....

Lets see some more verses :

Mar 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Mar 1:1 the beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

Mar 1:15 And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Mar 16:15 and he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Luke 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Acts 8:25 and they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

Acts 14:7 and there they preached the gospel. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Rom 15:19 through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

1Co 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

1Co 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

1Co 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

1Co 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

1Co 15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

1Co 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1Co 15:11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

Reading the gospels and the book of Acts I see a powerful Lord working wonders on behalf of a needy
world....as a christian today I am really sad to see that many have substituted HIS GOSPEL with some-
thing else...powerless and void of HIM.....as i said, I have not intention to criticize others nor I want
dispute religion or religious movements...I am asking THE LORD to start with me, to change me first,
and bring me back to HIS FEET...what about YOU?
ANYBODY WANTS TO JOIN ME TO PRAY FOR A TRUE REVIVAL OF HIS GOSPEL?
ANYBODY WANTS TO PRAY TOGETHER WITH ME and HOPEFULLY with other like minded
 BELIEVERS ?
If you want pray together email me : webmaster@jesuschangesall.com

COMING....let's PLEAD THE BLOOD and SEEK HIS FACE TOGETHER...

RECOVERY from Backsliding:faith,hope,love,
JESUS has not changed, let's go to HIM now!
My dear reader, we surely are living in very hard and difficult times. Earthquakes, hurricanes, war,
violence, famine, social injustice and the list goes on...everyday we are literally bombarded by an
array of bad news...we are human beings, we can get easily discouraged and worried...may be you
are a believer...you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour...may be you did this a long time
ago....you started well..full of love and zeal for The lord and His cause, His Kingdom..may be you had
a call to preach, to testify about Him to a needy qnd sick world BUT....the enemy came against you
with fury, you have been attacked and things started to go down the tube.

May be sin took hold of you all over again and the enemy used that to defeat you.
May be your marriage went on the rocks and you ended up in a painful divorce or your health has
been the target...you got ill, sick, defeated and discouraged....

Friend, we have 3 deadly enemies, THE FLESH, THE WORLD and THE DEVIL.

May be you never learned this.

Yes, a formidable EVIL TRINITY against the believer, against me,
against YOU and any other son or daughter of God.

Read:

Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Of course we all heard preachers saying that                the devil DOESN'T exist....
that our trials and difficulties come from psychological sources or the enviroment and blah blah...BUT
THE WORD of THE LORD is our ONLY TRUSTWORTHY SOURCE of information and HE gives us
THE SOLUTION.....

Read on:

Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

We also have a FAR GREATER TRINITY on OUR BEHALF....

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek" (Heb 6:17-19-20). Hope Filled Scriptures

"We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. 12We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised" (HEB 6:11-12).

 Faith -
"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations." Deuteronomy 7:9
"Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart." Proverbs 3:3
"A faithful man will abound with blessings, but whoever hastens to be rich will not go unpunished." Proverbs 28:20
"He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler." Psalm 91:4
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Heb 11:1
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." Heb 11:6
"According to your faith, it will be done to you." Mt 9:29
"Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith..." Heb 10:22
"But someone will say, 'You have faith and I have works.' Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works." James 2:18
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9
Hope -
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength." Isa 40:31
"Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord." Ps 31:24
"I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I put my hope." Ps 130:5
"And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But
if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience." Romans 8:23-25
"For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience." Romans 8:24-25
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer." Romans 12:12
"And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises." Hebrews 6:11-12
"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful." Heb 10:23
"Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure." 1 John 3:2-3
Love -
"The Lord passed before [Moses] and proclaimed, 'The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and fourth generation.' And Moses quickly bowed his head toward the earth and worshipped." Exodus 34:6-8
"Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul." Joshua 22:5
"Love each other as I have loved you." Jn 15:12
"This is my command; Love each other." Jn 15:17
"But God showed his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"Love is patient, love is kind." I Cor 13:4
"Three things will last forever - faith, hope and love - and the greatest of these is love." 1 Cor 13:13
"We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother." 1 John 4:19-21

The Baptism of The Holy Spirit

WHAT IT IS .. WHAT IT DOES FOR YOU .. HOW TO RECEIVE IT

BIBLICAL BACKGROUND

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be
complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" (II Timothy 3:16, 17).

"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant" (1
Corinthians 12:1).

"Even as the testimony to Christ was confirmed among you - so that you are not
lacking in any spiritual gift, as you wait for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ" (1
Corinthians 1:6,7).

Baptism Unto Life
Baptism Into The Body Of Christ

Baptism Unto Power
Baptism In The Holy Spirit

Baptizer -- Holy Spirit

Baptizer -- Jesus

Element -- Body of Christ

Element -- Holy Spirit

Purpose -- Newness of Eternal Life

Purpose -- Power to Witness

Evidence -- Fruits of the Spirit

"For by one spirit we were all baptized
into one body - whether Jews or
Greeks, whether slaves or free - and
have all been made to drink in one
spirit" (1 Corinthians 12:13).

"For you are all sons of God through
faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of
you as were baptized into Christ have
put on Christ" (Galatians 3:26,27).

Evidence -- Gifts of the Holy Spirit

John answered, saying, to all "I indeed
baptize you with water; but one mightier
than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am
not worthy to loose. He will baptize you
with the Holy Spirit and fire" (Luke 3:16).

And John bore witness, saying, "I saw the
Spirit descending from heaven like a dove,
and he remained upon him. I did not know
him, but he who sent me to baptize with
water said to me, "Upon whom you see theSpirit descending, and remaining on him,
this is he who baptizes with the Holy
Spirit." And I have seen and testified that
this is the Son of God" (John 1:32-34)!

OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECY CONCERNING BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:

"For it is with stammering lips and another tongue he will speak to this people, to
whom he said, "This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest," and
"This is the refreshing"; yet they would not hear" (Isaiah 28:11-12).

NEW TESTAMENT FULFILLMENT OF THIS PROPHECY:

"In the law it is written: "With men of other tongues and other lips I will speak to
this people; and yet, for all that, they will not hear me" (1 Corinthians 14:21).

OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECY CONCERNING BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:

"And is shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your
sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your

young men shall see visions. And also on my menservants and on my maidservants I
will pour out my Spirit in those days" (Joel 2:28-29).

NEW TESTAMENT FULFILLMENT OF THIS PROPHECY:

"But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: "And it shall come to pass in the
last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall
dream dreams. And on my menservants and on my maidservants I will pour out my
Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy" (Acts 2:16-18).

NEW TESTAMENT PROPHESY:

"John answered them, saying "I baptize with water, but there stands one among you
whom you do not know. It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me,
whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose." These things were done in Bethabara
beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. The next day John saw Jesus coming
toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the
world!" This is He of whom I say 'After me comes a man who is preferred before me,
for he was before me.' I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel,
therefore I came baptizing with water. And John bore witness, saying, "I saw the
Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. I did not
know Him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, "Upon whom you
see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the
Holy Spirit." And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God" (John 1:26-
34).

Verse 29, John refers to Jesus as the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the
world for salvation. Verse 33, John refers to Jesus as the one that would baptize
with the Holy Spirit.

"I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but /he who is coming after me is
mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the
Holy Spirit and fire" (Matthew 3:11).

"And he preached, saying, "There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose
sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose. I indeed baptized you with
water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit" (Mark 1:7,8).

"John answered, saying to all, "I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier
than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you
with the Holy Spirit and fire" (Luke 3:16).

Jesus emphasized the importance of being baptized in the Holy Spirit.

"And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart
from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which, He said, "you have
heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the
Holy Spirit not many days from now" (Acts 1:4,5).

Jesus gave us the purpose for being baptized in the Holy Spirit.

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall
be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the
earth" (Acts 1:8).

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not for the purpose of cleansing from sin, but for
the purpose of empowering for service. The 120 met in the upper room for the
outpouring of the Holy Spirit, men and women.

"These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the
women, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren." (Acts 1:14)

"Then the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one
place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them
divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled
with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance" (Acts 2:1-4).

Receiving the Holy Spirit upon conversion and being baptized in the Holy Spirit are two
separate and distinct experiences. The disciples received the Holy Spirit on the day of
Christ's resurrection for the New Testament experience of salvation. At this moment the
disciples passed from Old Testament salvation to New Testament Salvation.

"So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent me, I also send
you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive
the Holy Spirit" (John 20:21,22)

Fifty days later they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the upper room. Jews then
came to Jerusalem for the feast of Pentecost, heard the 120 speaking, declaring the
wonders of God in their own national languages. Others could not understand them and said
they were drunk.

"But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, "Men of
Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words.
For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.
But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 'And it shall come to pass in the
last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall
dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My
Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy" (Acts 2:14-18).

"Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy
Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as
many as the Lord our God will call" (Acts 2:38,39).

So after repenting and receiving Christ as Savior, you are eligible to receive the baptism in
the Holy Spirit. Peter denied Christ three times before receiving the baptism in the Holy
Spirit, but on the day of Pentecost he had power and boldness to preach to the multitudes
and 3000 were born again. Philip, one of the early deacons, went down to Samaria and had
a citywide revival. People were healed and demons were cast out. People received Christ as
Savior and were baptized in water.

"But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of
God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized. Then Simon
himself also believed; and when he was baptized he continued with Philip, and was
amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which were done. Now when the apostles who
were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter

and John to them, who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might
receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only
been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and
they received the Holy Spirit. And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the
apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, saying, "Give me
this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit." But
Peter said to him, "Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of
God could be purchased with money! "You have neither part nor portion in this
matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God" (Acts 8:12-21).

So here again, we see that receiving the Holy Spirit upon conversion and being baptized in
the Holy Spirit are two separate and distinct experiences. The Speaking in tongues is
inferred because Simon saw something and offered money.

We have Paul receiving Jesus on the road to Damascus. He often referred to the Damascus
Road experience as his conversion experience. However, he did not receive the baptism in
the Holy Spirit until three days later when Ananias laid hands on him.

"And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he
said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came,
has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit" (Acts
9:17).

Nothing is mentioned about Paul speaking in tongues here, but in 1 Corinthians 14:18 Paul
says "I thank God that I speak in tongues more than you all."

Ten years after Pentecost, we find Cornelius, a Gentile military man, had an angelic
visitation and was told to send servants to Peter so that he could come and share with him
the plan of salvation. Jews were forbidden to associate with Gentiles; so God had to deal
with Peter with visions from heaven. After this, the servant came to his door. The Holy Spirit
told Peter to go with them, because they had been sent by the Holy Spirit. Cornelius invited
his relatives and friends to hear Peter preach on the plan of salvation.

"The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus
Christ He is Lord of all that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all
Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: how God
anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about
doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in
Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. Him God raised up on the third
day, and showed Him openly, not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before
by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And
He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was
ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. To Him all the prophets
witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of
sins. While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those
who heard the word. And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as
many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on
the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then
Peter answered, Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who
have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? And he commanded them to be
baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days." (Acts
10:36-48).

The household of Cornelius received Christ as Savior and the baptism in the Holy Spirit
immediately after being born again. We find in verse 46 that they spoke in tongues and
magnified God. This got Peter in trouble. He was admonished by the Jews in Jerusalem, and
Peter had to explain why he went.

"Then the Spirit told me to go with them, doubting nothing. Moreover these six
brethren accompanied me, and we entered the man's house. And he told us how he
had seen an angel standing in his house, who said to him, 'Send men to Joppa, and
call for Simon whose surname is Peter, 'who will tell you words by which you and all
your household will be saved.' And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon
them, as upon us at the beginning. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how
He said, 'John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy
Spirit.' If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on
the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God? When they heard these
things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, "Then God has also
granted to the Gentiles repentance to life" (Acts 11:12-18).

About 20 Years after Pentecost, Paul went to Ephesus:

"And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the
upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples he said to them, "Did
you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not
so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit." And he said to them, "Into what
then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into John's baptism." Then Paul said, "John
indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should
believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus." When they
heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid
hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and
prophesied. Now the men were about twelve in all" (Acts 19:1-7).

It would have been pointless for Paul to ask, "Have you received the Holy Spirit since you
believed?", if believers automatically receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit when they
believe on Jesus as Savior. When Paul laid hands on them, they spoke in tongues and
prophesied. We see from scripture that every time someone was baptized in the Holy Spirit,
they received their prayer language to praise God. It is entirely different from the gift of
tongues in a church service that is to be interpreted.

What does the baptism in the Holy Spirit do for you?

• You speak to God.

"For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one
understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries" (1 Corinthians 14:2).

• You are edified or charged up spiritually.

"He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the
church" (1 Corinthians 14:4).

"But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the
Holy Spirit," (Jude 1:20).

• You are to pray -- sing in your prayer language.

"For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is
the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the
understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding"
(1 Corinthians 14:14,15).

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing
one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your
hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16)

"speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and
making melody in your heart to the Lord," (Ephesians 5:19).

• When you put on the armor of God, you are instructed to pray in your prayer
language.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the
whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For
we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in
the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be
able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore,
having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all,
taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of
the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which
is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints"
(Ephesians 6:10-18).

• When you don't know how to pray properly about a situation, you can pray in
the Spirit.

"Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we
should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with
groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the
mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the
will of God" (Romans 8:26,27).

• You may be used in the gifts of the Spirit.

"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: you know
that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led.
Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus
accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are
diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of
activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the
Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom
through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to
another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to
another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of
spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of
tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one
individually as He wills" (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).

• The baptism in the Holy Spirit is the rest and refreshing promised in Old
Testament prophesy, promised by Isaiah hundreds of years before Pentecost.
• Your prayer language is a permanent gift, but the gifts of the Holy Spirit are
supernaturally given to individuals as the Spirit wills; so we cannot claim any
permanent gifts of the Holy Spirit.

• You may be used in a church in a ministry gift.

"And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third
teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties
of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of
miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way" (1
Corinthians 12:28-31).

The 13th chapter of Corinthians shares with us that the more excellent way to use
the gifts is with love.

Your prayer language may be a language of men or of angels. When you have a
group of people singing in the Spirit, it sounds like an angelic choir.

Many people use verses 8-10 of this chapter to say that the gifts passed away when
the New Testament was completed. "That which is perfect has come" refers to the
return of Jesus when the gifts will not be needed anymore.

Many people are ignorant of the history of the church down through the ages.

Historical Background of the church:

Many writings of the early church fathers are available to us today, sharing about the
gifts of the Spirit in their ministries and in the churches. Tertullian, Hilary, Cyril,
Basil, Gregory, Nazianzus, John of Apamea, Joseph Hazzaya and others down
through the centuries. St. Augustine , the great Catholic bishop from 396-430 A.D.,
near the end of his life, wrote in his famous work The City of God, "We shall do what
the apostles did when they laid hands on the Samaritians and called down the Holy
Spirit on them by the laying on of hands. It is expected that new converts speak with
new tongues."

The eleventh edition of Encyclopedia Britannica, Volume 27, pages 9,10 states that
speaking in tongues recurs in Christian revivals of every age. It names many groups
from the different ages.

In 1906 we had the Azusa Street, California revival that spread worldwide. From this
revival, many Pentecostal denominations were formed. Then in the 1970's and the
1980's the Charismatic renewal broke out in all major denominational churches.
David Barrett's World Christian Encyclopedia gives an estimate of 523,700,000 as
the Pentecostal / Charismatic Christian World population (Second Edition, Oxford,
2000).

How to receive the infilling or baptism in the Holy Spirit:

You must be a born again Christian.

It is administered by Jesus.

"John answered, saying to all, "I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier
than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you
with the Holy Spirit and fire" (Luke 3:16).

The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift received by faith.

"that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we
might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith" (Galatians 3:14).

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must
believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him"
(Hebrews 11:6).

We receive by asking.

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to
His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know
that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him" (1 John 5:14,15).

"So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and
it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds,
and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father
among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a
serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you
then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will
your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" (Luke 11:9-13).

God the Father gave (poured out) the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost once and
for all. Therefore it is not a matter of God giving you the Holy Spirit, but rather you
receiving what God has already given. Now pray to receive the Gift that God has
already given to the believer.

Pray the prayer of faith:

Dear Lord Jesus: I thank you that you shed your blood on Calvary's cross for my
sins. I ask for forgiveness for my sins and I do acknowledge you as my Lord and
Savior. I ask you to baptize me in the Holy Spirit. I claim by faith the baptism in the
Holy Spirit right now. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

Now, begin to praise Jesus, but not in your language. You will be using your vocal
chords and lips and you will be speaking as on the day of Pentecost, but the Holy
Spirit will be giving you a new language to praise God. You will have another hot
line to heaven with which to pray and praise the Lord.

Start reading the book of Acts and 1 Corinthians, chapters 12, 13, and 14. The
Word and Jesus will become more real in the coming weeks. When the enemy
comes with thoughts in your mind, resist him with the Word of God and pray in the
Spirit.

 Gifts of the Spirit
1 Corinthians 12

Fruits of the Spirit
Galatians 5:22-23

1. Word of Wisdom
2. Word of Knowledge
3. Faith
4. Healings
5. Working of Miracles
6. Prophecy
7. Discerning of Spirits
8. Different Kinds of Tongues
9. Interpretation of Tongues

1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Longsuffering
5. Kindness
6. Goodness
7. Faithfulness
8. Gentleness
9. Self Control

1. The Word of Wisdom supernaturally discloses the mind, purpose, and the way of God as applied to a specific situation. If we have the Wisdom of God, then we must have Love, for God is Love. If you search for the first gift of the Spirit, you must possess the first fruit of the Spirit.

2. The Word of Knowledge is a supernatural revelation of information about a specific thing and has to do with an immediate need. Jesus gave instruction to His disciples so His Joy would remain in them and be full. A Word of Knowledge will always be received with Joy from His disciples, so we must first strive to have the fruit of Joy in our lives.

3. Faith is a special outpouring of supernatural Faith for release of a miracle. Even a small amount of Faith in our Father will bring Peace into our lives. If we have the Peace that passes all understanding then we will be ready for the Gift of Faith when the need arises. So seek first to have the fruit of the Spirit: Peace.

4. Healings are those Healings that God performs supernaturally. If we are Longsuffering, then we have learned to be content in any situation as Paul was. He learned that in his weakness, Jesus strength was made perfect. So if we can learn to be Longsuffering in all, then we will be able to accept the supernatural Healing God has for us. Faith produces miracles, but miracles do not necessarily produce faith, unless we know how to rejoice in any situation. That we do not look for the Healing, but for the relationship with God that will bring about the Healing.

5. Working of Miracles is a manifestation of Divine power to perform something that could not be done naturally. Jesus performed many Miracles because He had compassion on the crowds and acted with Kindness. Without the Fruit of Kindness, we would not be able to use the Gift how God would want us to.

6. Prophecy is a supernatural disclosure, a sudden Spirit inspired insight that brings exhortation to the body of Christ. Goodness means to have decency, generosity, righteousness. To exhort and edify the body of Christ we must first possess the virtues and values which are synonymous with Goodness.
7. Discerning of Spirits is to detect the true spirit behind the acts and manifestations taking place around us. It is used to further build Faithfulness on our Lord and Savior. The fruit of Faithfulness is the foundation for being true only to our Lord, and the acts of the Holy Spirit. We may then seek the gift of Discerning of Spirits to further our perception of the workings of the true Spirit of God.

8. Different kinds of Tongues is praying or singing in a supernatural or heavenly language which has a specific message associated with it. James tells us about the things from above, that they are pure, peaceful, and Gentle. How can we seek the Gift which will deliver a message to God's people if we first do not seek fruit of His likeness.

Interpretation of tongues is translating the message of tongues so that the heavenly message may be given. Would you trust someone translating for you that put their own thoughts and words into your message.
You would want someone of great Self Control to be true and accurate. How much more would our Father want someone of Self Control to translate His holy message to His people.

ALL HAPPENS BY " FAITH " moved by " LOVE" , HIS LOVE for HIS PEOPLE.
By the way, if you have the Baptism of the Spirit and you speak in tongues and The Lord uses in power,
just REMEMBER that you are NOT a supersaint, that is and should be "the normal christian life" of
somebody SAVED BY GRACE, so don't BOAST but GIVE GLORY TO GOD,AMEN!

Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
We have been created for HIS PLEASURE.....wow! what a revelation! we are here for HIS PLEAUSURE,
my prayer is : Dear Lord, use me for YOUR GLORY, just keep me close to YOU, I cannot think of a
greater joy!....so my friend let us give HIM GLORY, HONOUR and POWER because HE IS WORTHY!

Deu 32:3 Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

The Miracles of Jesus Christ

The Miracles of Jesus Christ
According to the canonical Gospels of the Bible, Jesus worked many miracles in the course of his ministry, which may be categorized into cures, exorcisms, dominion over nature, three instances of raising the dead, and various others. To many Christians, the miracles represent actual historical events, while Liberal Christians may consider these stories to be figurative. Critical scholars generally concede that empirical methods are unable to determine if a genuine miracle is historical, considering the issue theological or philosophical. Islamic scholars also believe in most of the miracles of healing and the miracles of resurrecting dead people to life.

Types of miracles

Cures

The largest group of miracle stories mentioned in the New Testament are those concerning disease and disability. The Gospels give varying amounts of detail for each episode, sometimes Jesus cures simply by saying a few words, or laying on of hands, and at other times employs elaborate rituals using material (e.g. spit or mud). Generally they are recorded in the Synoptic Gospels but not John.Fever - The Synoptics describe Jesus as healing the mother-in-law of Simon Peter when he visited Simon's house in Capernaum, around the time of Jesus recruiting Simon as an Apostle (Mark has it just after the calling of Simon, while Luke has it just before). The synoptics imply that this led other people seeking out Jesus, and him traveling over the whole of Galilee to preach to them.Leprosy - The Synoptics state that, early in Jesus' ministry, he healed a leper, whom he then instructed to offer the requisite ritual sacrifices as proscribed by the Deuteronomic Code and Priestly Code. Jesus instructed the ex-leper not to tell anyone who had healed him; but the man disobeyed, increasing Jesus' fame, and thereafter Jesus withdrew to deserted places, but was followed there. Luke also states that later, while on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus sent ten lepers, who had sought his assistance, to the priests, and that they were healed as they went, but that the only one that came back to thank Jesus was a Samaritan.Long term bleeding - The Synoptics state that while heading to Jairus' house (see the section below on power over death), Jesus was approached by a woman who had been suffering from bleeding for 12 years, and that she touched Jesus' cloak (fringes of his garment: Matt 9:2014:36), and was instantly healed. Jesus turned about and, when the woman came forward, said "Daughter, your faith has healed you, go in peace". The bleeding is sometimes interpreted as menorrhagia, but most scholars consider that the duration, 12 years, makes it more plausible that the condition was something more akin to hemophilia.Withered hands - The Synoptics state that Jesus entered a synagogue on Sabbath, and found a man with a withered hand there, whom Jesus healed, having first challenged the people present to decide what was lawful for Sabbath - to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill . The Gospel of Mark adds that this angered the Pharisees so much that they started to contemplate killing Jesus.Dropsy - Luke alone states that, during Sabbath, Jesus ate in the house of a prominent Pharisee, opposite someone who suffered from dropsy, and Jesus asked the Pharisees that were present if it was lawful to heal on Sabbath, but, after getting no reply, healed the man. Jesus then challenged the Pharisees to say that they would not immediately pull out an ox, or a son (or a donkey, according to some ancient manuscripts of Luke), if it fell into a well during Sabbath.Deafness - Mark alone states that Jesus went to the Decapolis and met a man there who was deaf and mute, and cured him. Specifically, Jesus first touched the man's ears, and touched his tongue after spitting, and then said Ephphatha!, an Aramaic word meaning Be openedBlindness - The Synoptics state that Jesus met a beggar (Mark gives the name: bar-Timai or son of Timai) who, though blind, still identified Jesus as the Jewish Messiah; Jesus said that the man's faith has healed him, and he received his sight, and was allowed to follow Jesus. This happened when Jesus was leaving Jericho, and Matthew adds that there was another healed at the same time. John mentions as similar event that happened near the Pool of Siloam, with the following details:The disciples first questioned Jesus whether the man's curse was for his own sins, or those of his parents. Jesus said it was for neither reason, "but that the works of God should be made manifest in him".Jesus healed him by spitting on the ground, mixing his spit with mud, and putting the mixture into his eyes, then sent him to wash in the Pool of Siloam. The event happened on Sabbath; therefore, the Pharisees said Jesus was not of God because he did not keep Sabbath. They asked the formerly blind man concerning Jesus, who said, "He is a prophet".The Jews did not believe that the healed man was the same person as the man who had been blind from birth, and asked his parents if the healed man was their son. The parents responded that he was, and had been born blind.Jesus identified himself as the Son of God, and the cured man worshiped him.Additionally, Mark alone states that Jesus went to Bethsaida and met another man there who was blind, and then cured him. Specifically, Jesus is described as spitting in the man's eyes, to which the man responded that his vision is now blurred; Jesus then touched the man's eyes, and the man responded that he can see clearly now. John's account of the healing of has been argued by some scholars to be a conflation of the account of bar-Timai in Mark, together with the healing method given by Mark's account of the second healing of a blind man.Paralysis - The Synoptics state that a paralytic was brought to Jesus on a mat; Jesus told him to get up and walk, and the man did so. Jesus also told the man that his sins were forgiven, which according to the Synoptics irritated the Pharisees, and according to John irritated the people in general. Jesus is described as responding to the anger by asking whether it is easier to say that someone's sins are forgiven, or to tell the man to get up and walk. The Synoptics state that this happened in Capernaum, Mark and Luke adding that Jesus was in a house at the time, and that the man had to be lowered through the roof by his friends due to the crowds blocking the door. A similar account is given in John and occurs at the Pool of Bethesda; some have argued this is another version of the event described in the synoptics, rather than a separate cure.Unspecified sickness - All four Canonical Gospels state that Jesus was asked by an official to heal a person important to him, and although Jesus is somewhat annoyed at being constantly asked to perform miracles, rather than being asked for teachings, he says that the person would be healed, and the official returned home to find that this has happened. The Synoptics state that official was a centurion, and that it was the centurion's servant that was sick, while the Gospel of John states that the official was a royal official, originating from Canaan, and that it was his son who was sick.

Exorcisms

According to the Synoptic Gospels, Jesus performed many exorcisms of demoniacs. These incidents are not mentioned by the Gospel of John. The accounts in the Synoptic Gospels are:The boy possessed by a demon at Capernaum - Jesus exorcised an unclean spirit and forbidding the demon from informing people that he was the "Holy One of God". (Mark 1:21-28Luke 4:31-37)Jesus drove out evil spirits with a word. (Matthew 8:88:14-17Mark 1:29-39Luke 4:33-41)The man possessed by demons at Gerasenes, whom the people had tried to chain up but had escaped, and lived in caves, and roamed the hills, screaming - Jesus inquired the man's name, but is told by the man/demons that his name is Legion, "...for we are many". The demons asked to be expelled into a group of swine, which Jesus did, and thereafter the pigs fell into a lake and drowned. The pig owners tell the townsfolk what had happened, and when the townsfolk see that the man is now sane, they besought Jesus to leave "for they were taken with great fear". The man, on the other hand, informs the whole of the decapolis what had happened. (Matthew 8:28-34Mark 5:1-20,Luke 8:26-39)Jesus drove a demon out of a mute man who then spoke, the Pharisees said it was by the power of Beelzebub. (Matthew 9:32-34Mark 3:20-22)Jesus gave the Twelve Apostles the authority to drive out evil spirits. (Matthew 10:1-8Mark 3:156:76:13Luke 9:1,10:17)Jesus said if he drove out demons by the Spirit of God or Finger of God then the Kingdom of God has come. (Matthew 12:22-32Luke 11:14-2312:10;, Mark 3:20-30)The possessed daughter of the Canaanite or Phoenician woman in Tyre - the woman asks Jesus to heal her daughter, but Jesus says "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel". The woman replies, "Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table", whereupon Jesus tells her that her daughter is healed, and when the woman returns home she finds that this is true. (Matthew 15:21-28Mark 7:24-30)The boy possessed by a demon that is brought forward to Jesus straight after Jesus' transfiguration, and who foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, becomes rigid, and involuntarily falls into both water and fire - Jesus' followers cannot expel the demon, and Jesus condemns the people as unbelieving, but when the father of the boy questions if Jesus can heal the boy, Jesus says everything is possible for those that believe, so the father says he believes that the boy could be healed, and Jesus does so. (Matthew 17:14-21Mark 9:14-29,Luke 9:37-49)Jesus had driven seven demons out of Mary Magdalene.(Mark 16:9Luke 8:2)Jesus continued to cast out demons even though Herod Antipas wanted to kill him. (Luke 13:31-32)

Controlling nature

The Gospels tell another group of stories concerning Jesus' power over nature:The Feeding of the 5000 and of the 4000 men - Jesus, praying to God and using only a few loaves of bread and several fish, feeds thousands of men, along with an unspecified number of women and children; there are even a number of baskets of leftovers afterward. The Cursing of the Fig Tree - Jesus cursed a fig tree, and it withered.Turning Water into Wine - at a wedding, when the host runs out of wine, the host's servants fill vessels with water at Jesus' command, then a sample is drawn out and taken to the master of the banquet who pronounces the content of the vessels as the best wine of the banquet.Walking on water - Jesus walked on a lake to meet a boat.Transfiguration of Jesus - Jesus climbed a mountain and was changed so that his face glowed. The Catch of 153 fish - Jesus instructed the disciples to throw their net over the side of the water, resulting in them hauling in the huge catch (for hand fishing) of 153 fish.Calming a storm - during a storm, the disciples woke Jesus, and he rebuked the storm causing it to become calm. Jesus then rebukes the disciples for lack of faith. Transubstantiation during the last supper; disputed by some denominations.

Power over death

All four Canonical Gospels report Jesus' own resurrection from the dead but the Gospels also relate three other occasions on which Jesus calls a dead person back to life:Jairus' daughter - Jairus, a major patron of a synagogue, asks Jesus to heal his daughter, but while Jesus is on his way, men tell Jairus that his daughter has died. Jesus says she was only sleeping and wakes her up with the word Talitha koum!. [Mark 5:21-43]The son of the widow at Nain - A young man, the son of a widow, is brought out for burial in Nain. Jesus sees her, and his pity causes him to tell her not to cry. Jesus approaches the coffin and tells the man inside to get up, and he does so. [Luke 7:11-17]The raising of Lazarus - a close friend of Jesus who had been dead for four days is brought back to life when Jesus commands him to get up. [John 11:1-44]

Supernatural knowledge

The ability of Jesus to know things by supernatural means could also be classed as a miracle. This may explain the reason why Nathaniel responded to Jesus saying, "Before that Philip called thee, when thou was under the fig tree, I saw thee", by answering, "Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel."[2] It could be perhaps that when he was under the fig tree, Nathaniel had been praying in secret which elicited this response, rather than that he did not know that he had merely been observed in the natural way.The story of the Samaritan woman at the well is an example where Jesus supernaturally knew the history of the woman including the men in her life.

List of miracles attributed to Jesus in various sources

It is not always clear when two reported miracles refer to the same event. An attempt has been made to indicate those that probably are related. Summarizing the table below, there are 47 miracles of Jesus recorded during his life-time, 40 of them recorded in the canonical Gospels and 7 recorded only in non-canonical sources[13]. The chronological order of the miracles is difficult to determine, so this list should not be viewed as a sequence.
